Project duration: Feb 2020 – March 2020

In implementing the proposed activities, we will take the participatory and process consulting approach which involves facilitating the process of change in the organization by actively involving its key members in reviewing and developing competency profiles of the core managerial jobs. Our role will be that of the facilitator of the change process by providing necessary professional supports for the development of the competency profiles for the Bank. This will ensure both the ownership and motivation for the competency framework for various HR functions within the Bank, as well as for developing managers in terms of the required competencies. For this purpose, a project team will be formed with consultants from LMDC and representatives from the Bank for undertaking the planned activities. Major methodological approach will involve:

Review of relevant literature as well as policy and practice documents related to the current competency profiles and their uses in the Bank In‐depth interactions with the relevant officials of the Bank

Data collection on the existing practices, perceptions, and problems regarding competency issues (for this, samples will be taken from the appropriate organizational units of the Bank)

Development of  competency  frameworks  for  chosen  positions  by compiling and defining of appropriate competencies as approved by stakeholders

Revision of competency framework on the basis of feedback received Preparation   of   implementation   plan   for   the   application   of   the competency profiles prepared
