Project duration: January 2000 – March 2000.
Preparation of GIS maps of some districts was carried out by using 1:25000 scale maps as base maps and with objective to convert data into GIS (ARC/INFO). Firstly the base maps were digitized in separate layers of VDC boundary, rivers, settlements, place names, land use pattern, grid etc. with proper coordinate system in Auto-CAD version 14. Then each layer was converted into GIS. The nodal errors and other unnecessary polygons were cleaned. These GIS maps were used to locate schools with proper IDs and other sanitation activities.
