Project duration: June 1988 – August 1988.

The USAID/Nepal had assigned two International Consultants of Colorado State University USA, to prepare a reassessment report on food aid as a development resource in Nepal.

Main objective of the study was to verify the assessment report on  whether the payment of daily wages in the form of  money  can be supplemented by food grains in development project of  remote areas  as the food grains are mostly scarce and expensive.

Devtec Nepal Pvt. Ltd. was responsible to provide a domestic consultant/ economist to assist the expatriate  consultants preparing the report. The main responsibilities were to collect the available data, documents and reports prepared by the government and other donor agencies and individual professionals.
