Project duration: 15 May 2000 – 14 February 2001.

Based on the Nepal Environmental Policy and Action Plan 1993, “Environmental Labelling for Export Industries in Nepal’ project is in operation with the technical and financial assistance of the government of Finland since Sept. 1999. The project is expected to enhance capabilities of the Nepalese export industries to utilize international environmental labelling schemes to the extent that is economically and technically feasible.

Under the project, the Plancenter Nepal and Devtec Nepal (Pvt) Ltd. were signed an agreement on 5 May 2000 to conduct a feasibility study on establishing a domestic environmental eco-labelling scheme for export industries in Nepal.
This document is the final report of said study for submitted on 30 October 2000 to Nepal Bureau of Standards and Metrology and Plancenter Nepal.
