Department for International Development (DFID), U.K. had provided grant assistance to HMG/Nepal for road maintenance skill development program through Department of Roads. The program has been introduced since 1995. It is a sort of professional skill development program of both consultants and contractors working in transport sector. Devtec was responsible for detailed engineering survey, design, cost estimate, preparation of tender documents, bid evaluation and supervision and maintenance works of 25 km Gorkha -Anbukhaireni sector.
