Project duration: March 1988 – August 1988.
The proposed project irrigates net 65 ha of land in Baitadi District of Mahakali Zone. Detailed feasibility, including survey and design works were carried out and the project construction cost was estimated. The villager’s willingness to contribute their resources both in cash and kind were explored according to the guideline (TOR) provided to Devtec. The ad-hoc committee of water users’ group was also formed. The feasibility study was prepared to provide information on command area, agricultural plan, irrigation source to meet crop water needs, engineering design with possible alternatives, economic developments, cost sharing and implementation arrangement between the DOI and beneficiaries etc.
