Project duration: January 1973 – January 1985. (Devtec Nepal joined this project since January 1983)

The initials phase involved a feasibility study of several alternatives roads networks giving access to Tulsipur in the Dang valley in the far western Nepal.

The second phrase was the detailed engineering design of the project including floodways and structures. Intricate geometric designs were prepared for the traversing of the Churia Hills mountain range. The design was based on using as many labour intensive techniques as possible because of the projects remoteness.

The third phase of the project was assistance to the government in the supervision of the project and training of Nepal staff in the supervision and construction. Ten small local contracts were let and supervision, of the basically labour intensive operation, was carried out.
