Department for International Development (DFID), U.K. had provided grant assistance to HMG/Nepal for road maintenance skill development program through Department of Roads. The program has been introduced since 1995 onwards. It is a sort of professional skill development program of both consultants and contractors working in the field of road engineering pertaining to bituminous surface maintenance activities.
